The first question that comes to your mind is: What is the story of Race 3? This film is about a family in disarray. There is a scheming and dysfunctional head called Shamsher and two members who are wrathful and mean-spirited. The other two are Sanjana and Suraj, who are bitter and envious of Sikander. Shamsher pacifies the family and ensures they stay in line. When an important hard disk goes missing, everyone is worried. Shamsher entrusts Sikander with retrieving the disk. He is entrusted with enlisting other members of the family to help him.
Disappointing story
Unlike previous Race films, the plot in Race 3 is weak, making the movie a disappointment. If you are looking for a gripping suspense thriller, then you should look elsewhere. If you want a fun action movie with a star-studded cast, Race 3 is not the right choice. But if you love Salman Khan and Tubelight, Race 3 is worth watching. Otherwise, you’ll be disappointed by its weak plot and clumsy acting.
The trailer for Race 3 was already getting jokes and memes on the internet, and the movie hit screens on Friday. It made Rs 29 crores on its opening day, which trade analyst Taran Adarsh called the biggest opening of 2018! But despite its decent box-office opening, the film’s story is very unimpressive. It’s too long and lacks punch. The actors also do not impress with their performances, and the script is so weak that it doesn’t even warrant an audience’s time.
Uninteresting characters
Race 3 lacks the energy and passion of its predecessors. The film’s main character, Shamsher Singh, is a middle-aged criminal who runs an illegal arms business. Shamsher has two children, biological son Suraj and daughter Sanjana. His step-son Sikandar is a love interest of Jacqueline Fernandez. The plot is twisted and unpredictable. Several twists and turns come at the end, and the film is worth watching just for the action scenes.
While Race 2 had a strong cast of women, Race 3’s cast was uninteresting and sexy. Both lead actors were past their prime, and the rest were lackluster. The film also featured two underwhelming women and average young males. Ultimately, it was a waste of talent and money. Race 3 has been touted as Salman Khan’s next blockbuster, but it lacks substance to live up to that billing.
Uninteresting plot
In a world where every action movie is trying to be the next James Bond, the uninteresting plot of Race 3 makes it all the more disappointing. Unlike the previous entries in this franchise, this one does not rely on an action sequence to keep you interested, but rather relies on a story that’s a little predictable. Despite the cast, Race 3 is filled with some very talented performances, including Salman Khan and Bobby Deol.
Bobby Deol, who plays the patriarch, is inept in his role as Yash, but Anil Kapoor, who plays Yash’s stepson, elevates the character with his suave charm. Jacqueline Fernandez, as the love interest of Yash’s stepdaughter, puts some effort into her character, but her role is too generic to be of any interest. The film’s climax revolves around the family trying to win the “race” but ends up dragging on. The film’s subliminal messages are repeated throughout the movie, but they’re not enough to make Race 3 stand out.
Saif Ali Khan
There have been a lot of people who are disappointed about the absence of Saif Ali Khan in Race 3. The actor has been a part of the franchise for two installments, but his absence in Race 3 is not surprising considering the fact that he has been a part of the first two instalments. The movie failed to meet the expectations of the audience and failed miserably at the box office. But there is still hope for the upcoming actor.
In fact, the makers of Race 3 are reportedly trying to bring in Saif. While no official confirmation has been given yet, the actor is currently shooting for the second season of Sacred Games, a critically acclaimed novel by Vikram Chandra. The actor will also be seen in Navdeep Singh’s ‘Hunter’. It remains to be seen whether the producers will get the chance to cast Saif in Race 3 after the huge success of the first two installments.
Anil Kapoor
After the success of the first two parts of Race, Salman Khan’s next film, Race 3, has also been a hot favourite. Salman Khan, who has been a part of all the three Race instalments, had a bigger role in Race 3. Now occupied with Fanney Khan promotions, he is returning to Bollywood with Race 3. The film features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao in prominent roles. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan plays an aspirational singer, while Rajkummar Rao plays the father of a talented young girl.
‘Race 3’ was an interesting film. It was one of the biggest releases of the year and despite its mixed response from critics and audience, it was a hit at the box office. Anil Kapoor revealed to the Deccan Chronicle the real reason for signing this film – money. He said, ‘I signed Race 3 because it was good money’. And he wasn’t alone in that feeling!
